The Environmental Medicine Foundation

EMF is a charity to promote environmental medicine. Throughout the world, countless numbers of people are suffering as a direct consequence of the environment in which they live.

A growing body of evidence is showing that environmental causes of disease are prevalent, and the effects can be debilitating, and at times, lethal. This is clearly a major reason for public concern. Although, once identified, the causes of environmental illness are usually controllable, there is a paucity of research into these conditions and their treatment.

The consideration of our environment must be broad, to include the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat, whether in the home, at work or at leisure.

It is the intention of the EMF to promote and encourage medical research into the effects of the environment on our health, and to disseminate the results of such research, seeking to find causes rather than simply treating symptoms.
